Hampshire-based Huxley Golf, the PGA’s official supplier of all-weather golf surfaces, has announced the appointment of a new Authorised Distributor and Installer for the Middle East. Based in Dubai, Huxley Golf Middle East will bring world-class all-weather professional greens, tees and practice aids to a diverse region with some of the leading golf courses in the world.
The Middle East is an increasingly important hub for the game of golf, with the region playing host to global tournaments such as the Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship, the Dubai Desert Classic and the DP World Tour Championship in Dubai, which provides a fitting ending to the European Tour’s Race to Dubai. However, outside of October to April, conditions for golf are less than ideal and course maintenance can be costly, with summer temperatures breaking the 40°C mark and water scarcity a key environmental issue. Huxley Golf’s tournament quality, all-weather surfaces will offer a significant reduction in course water consumption and maintenance requirements while ensuring completely realistic ball roll, reception and speed.
