The PGA’s Official Supplier programme has been given a boost by golf insurance specialists Golfplan signing a five-year extension.

Golfplan, the UK’s market leader in the specialist insurance sector, is one of a stable of golf companies working closely with the PGA across a network of interests.

It protects more than £50 million of golf equipment and offers a range of essential benefits including 24-hour theft from car, new for old equipment replacement regardless of age and £5 million public liability cover. In addition, 120 days worldwide cover is included in all policies.

Alongside its PGA Official Supplier status, Golfplan operates a claims network of more than 2,000 PGA professionals and always replaces equipment via a PGA pro.

The Bristol-based firm, which is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, provides a range of transparent policy options that provide exceptional cover designed to meet the needs of today’s golfers.

This is supported with excellent service from their experienced customer advisors and in-house claims department.

“In the modern era, specialist golf insurance has become an important requirement,” said Robert Maxfield, PGA Property and Commercial Director. “So the PGA is delighted to continue its long-standing association with Golfplan.

“The Official Supplier programme is a network of some of the best companies working in golf and Golfplan is a much valued part of that programme.”

Commenting on the extension, Ron Channon, Golfplan Insurance Managing Director, said: “Golfplan is delighted to have renewed its long-standing partnership with The Professional Golfers’ Association for another five years.”

“The relationship between us and the PGA golf professional is central to our business as their expertise is key in the fulfilment of our policyholders’ golf equipment claims. This announcement is particularly significant as Golfplan celebrates its 25th anniversary and marks the start of a series of new initiatives as we look ahead to the future.”

Golfplan is authorised and regulated by the FSA. For more information on Golfplan visit www.golfplan.co.uk
