Mission Hills Group has announced its joint venture with world-leading hotel company, Marriott International. This shows the development of the Ritz-Carlton and Renaissance Hotels at Mission Hills Haikou.
With a total investment of RMB1.3 billion, both hotels will open to the public in the second quarter of 2015. It will be the first golf hotel management project operated by Marriott International in the Greater China region.
Dr. Ken Chu, Chairman and CEO of Mission Hills Group, said, “The Ritz-Carlton will offer 180 rooms and 20 villas whereas The Renaissance will have over 300 keys. It will be the icing on Mission Hills’ Haikou development of a township of 300 shops and Hainan’s first ever real ice skating. Our partnership will yield both economic and cultural benefits to the local tourism industry, while offering guests the ultimate golf and holiday experience.”
Simon Cooper, President and Managing Director of Marriott International, Asia-Pacific, added, “Hainan represents a massive growth market for the hotel industry, and it’s a market which Marriott International is very keen on. Mission Hills’ vision is impressive, and we look forward to our ground breaking partnership providing visitors to Mission Hills Hainan.”
The new Ritz-Carlton hotel is designed by AECOM, a Fortune 500 design and engineering company, and HBA, one of the top interior design consultants.
