Former manager Dick Palmer has successfully concluded a management buyout at Ransomes Jacobsen’s Selby branch, with effect from 1st December. To ensure a smooth transfer of responsibilities the new company, which will trade as Palmers Groundcare Ltd, has offered all staff the opportunity of continued employment.
Commenting on the sale David Withers, Sales & Marketing Director at Ransomes Jacobsen said, “This is a very positive move for both parties and an excellent opportunity for Dick and his team. He is inheriting a superb, highly equipped facility, staffed by quality people with significant industry experience. He joins the Ransomes Jacobsen dealer network at an increasingly buoyant time for the company, with sales of core business products in the turf maintenance and small vehicle sectors enjoying a resurgence.
“We established the Ransomes Jacobsen branches in Autumn 2001, following the termination of dealership agreements with E T Breakwell Ltd and Henton & Chattell Ltd, and stated at that time that we would sell direct if we could not find dealers that met our consistently high standards, both financially and in terms of customer support. I am now absolutely delighted to be handing over the reins to a team from within our own organisation and I‘m confident that Dick Palmer and his management will continue to build upon the successful business established at Selby.”
