LocoPro launches online community for golfers and coaches

4.39pm 2nd March 2021 - Corporate

Two Hampshire-based golfers have set up a new online business that is designed to help golf coaches and golf fitness instructors connect with their local golfing community.

LocoPro was created by golfing friends Jack Vickery and Tyler Everitt, who came up with the idea of launching a website where golfers could find out where they can book golf lessons near to home, or even at home, and where golf coaches could reach out to local golfers who are looking to book lessons, whether they are members of a golf club or not.

The website has a search engine which golfers can use to find LocoPro registered golf coaches or golf fitness instructors that are nearest to their home, as well as to search for specific coaches throughout the UK and Ireland.

Each coach is able to upload a biography and details of their qualifications, training facilities, specific areas of expertise, and their hourly rates for lessons. Golfers can then contact the coach directly via email or telephone for further enquiries and to set up a session, whether it be a one-off lesson or a whole course.

Many coaches have also set themselves up to offer lessons virtually, so golfers who are unable to meet the coach in person can have online lessons. This has proved especially successful during the pandemic, where local and national lockdowns have prevented coaches and players from meeting up, but it is also a useful option any time that a player wants to check in with a coach but hasn’t got the time to meet up face to face.

Once they’ve had a course of lessons, golfers can choose to leave a review about their coach, which will then act as a referral for future golfers that visit the site.

“We wanted to create a platform where golfers and golf coaches can connect, and where coaches can receive honest and valuable feedback from their clients, whilst allowing them to advertise to a wider audience,” says Jack, whose professional background is in marketing. “On top of that, it’s important for us to build a fun and competitive golfing community. We are looking forward to launching our LocoPro Golf Coach of the Year competition and hope it can bring a new social aspect to our website.”

LocoPro currently has over 180 professional coaches registered on the site located throughout the UK and Ireland, with more joining every week.

Coaches can either register a basic profile for free, or upgrade to a premium profile for as a little as £9.99 a month, which offers a host of benefits to attract more customers, including options to include image galleries, videos and social media links; feature throughout LocoProgolf.com’s ‘highlighted’ areas; access to a private Facebook group of other premium coaches; feature in posts on LocoPro’s social media platforms, plus exclusive invites to LocoPro events.
