Kubota UK has further strengthened its tractor and groundcare dealer network with the appointment of Burrows Grass Machinery.
The Stafford-based groundcare equipment supplier is the largest distributor of grass machinery to local authorities, golf clubs and contractors in the north Midlands. Established in 1951, the company will now offer its customers Kubota’s market leading range of high performance tractors up to 100HP, groundcare solutions and utility vehicles.
Clive Watton is Managing Director of Burrows Grass Machinery and has been at the business for over 26 years. He commented: “Becoming a Kubota dealer is part of a major drive to grow our business. The groundcare market has changed dramatically in recent years and in order to take advantage, Kubota was the ideal machinery partner for us.
“Probably the most significant shift in the market has been the growth of the hire market, which can be attributed to the impact that local authority budget cuts have had on grounds maintenance programmes. There’s less capital expenditure available for machinery purchases, but still grass and hedges to be cut, so councils want hire arrangements or will use contractors to carry out this work instead.
“In order to capitalise on this, it was essential we could work in partnership with a machinery manufacturer that could supply a complete range of reliable and high performance solutions, all backed up by a first class service offering.
“Kubota is the most recognised brand in the groundcare sector and has developed a fantastic reputation for producing the most cost-effective, efficient, versatile and hard working machines on the market. It’s a name that our customers trust to help them get the job done time and again and we are delighted to join its dealer network as we enter this exciting time for Burrows Grass Machinery.”
Burrows Grass Machinery will provide its customers Kubota’s range of tractor and groundcare solutions, from its GR1600 ride-on mower targeted at high end consumer market, right through to its popular G Series (ride-on), F Series (out front) and zero-turn models for commercial applications.
In addition, Burrows will offer Kubota’s market leading tractors, including its compact B and STV Series, the mid-range L Series and the more powerful M Series up to 100HP. Kubota’s rugged and durable RTV utility vehicle range will also be available.
