i-KAN GC works with Swan Golf Designs

I-Kan GC is constantly on the look out to develop exciting new partnerships with other golf companies that might prove mutually beneficial, whilst also providing the golf industry with new and improved products or services. When such an opportunity came along to work closely with Swan Golf Designs, the synergy was immediately obvious.

Involved within the golf industry for over 50 years, Swan Golf Designs’ roots go back to the days of Henry Cotton, the ‘Father Figure’ of the modern game when Alex Swan helped Henry design golf courses all over the world to help bring the game to the masses.

Howard Swan (Alex’s son) outlines his company’s approach thus: “Swan Golf Designs is committed to producing golf courses of the highest quality through innovative design and a creative appreciation of the natural landscape setting. It is also our intention to provide affordable, available and sustainable golf facilities throughout the world in order for more people to have the opportunity to join the game of golf and develop their skills.”

Incorporating I-KAN GC’s European Golf synthetic golf greens and tees into Swan Golf Designs courses enables the partnership to create golf courses and practice facilities that are naturally and financially sustainable, as they can be utilised all year round in all weather conditions.

These new facilities in turn create the ideal practice areas at which I-KAN GC are able to introduce their revolutionary coaching programme, SNAG – ‘Starting New At Golf’. SNAG, by design, only requires a small playing area on which to practise, however, the real fun comes when you actually try out your newly learnt skills on the golf course.

Guy Higton, I-KAN GC Director, sums up this exciting new partnership: “Both Swan and I-Kan GC want to open up the sport to new players of all ages and abilities. By working together to identify areas suitable for compact short golf courses we are able to design, build and provide sustainable golf facilities in areas not normally associated with a sport that has for so long been regarded as a ‘rural playground’ for the successful businessman.”
