Hampshire-based Huxley Golf, the PGA’s official supplier of all-weather golf surfaces, has announced the appointment of a new, official distributor in southern Spain. As one of Europe’s most popular golfing destinations, the area is set to benefit from the local distribution and professional installation of Huxley Golf’s world-class all-weather professional greens, tees and practice aids.
The new partnership will provide hundreds of golf clubs and courses in Murcia,Valencia, Catalonia and further afield with the opportunity to enhance their playing facilities. The region has many thousands of registered golfers and Huxley Golf Spain, based between Valencia and Alicante at Benissa on the Costa Blanca, will supply market-leading practice aids and world-class synthetic, all-weather surfaces to help golfers in Spain develop their game.
Huxley Golf Spain is led by Managing Director Paul Webb Llano. The British-born PGA-qualified professional is a passionate golfer and a fluent Spanish speaker, having resided in Spain since 2003.
He said: “I first came across Huxley Golf in 1999 and, being a PGA professional, it has been easy to keep in touch and see their phenomenal progress since then.
“When the time came to create our own golf area in Spain, I wanted the best synthetic golf surfaces available, with the ball roll, reception and speed as close to natural grass as possible.
