Huxley Golf needs more distributors

7.48am 13th January 2009 - Corporate

Huxley Golf’s recent distributor meeting was a resounding success: “A first-class event providing invaluable information, advice and support,” was the unanimous opinion of all who took part in the event which was held at the Donnington Grove Country Club, near Newbury, Berkshire.

Hosted by Huxley Golf management and staff and attended by 10 of the company’s appointed distributor/installers from the United Kingdom, Ireland and mainland Europe, the three-day meeting provided a great opportunity for networking and the sharing of knowledge.

As one distributor pointed out, “Talking with colleagues and sharing their experiences taught me so much more about Huxley all-weather surfaces, their installation and range of applications. The result will be of huge benefit to me and to my customers.”

The programme comprised a mix of social, sporting and learning activities commencing with an optional golf competition on the first day and concluding with a round-the-table discussion led by Huxley Golf director, Paul Huxley.

The session was highlighted by his announcement that Huxley Golf had just been awarded Official Supplier status by the PGA and had reached an agreement with the PGA to work together for mutual benefit.

During the event, distributors visited a customer’s home to see a recently-constructed Huxley all-weather golf course with three greens and nine tees, before touring the Huxley Golf headquarters at New Alresford where they were invited to comment on possible new products.

Back at Donnington Grove Country Club, distributors saw the state-of-the-art Huxley indoor putting green, tee mats and golf nets installed within the Jonathan Yarwood Golf Academy, established at Donnington Grove in May 2008.

Chosen by the world-renowned coach as his first teaching academy outside the USA, the superb indoor facility at Donnington Grove is open to members and non-members under the supervision of PGA professional, Matt Woods, appointed by Jonathan as the academy’s director of instruction.

“We were delighted that our appointed Huxley Golf distributor/installers were able to join us for what proved to be an extremely valuable three days of discussion, learning and feedback,” said Paul Huxley.

“The comments we have received show that such meetings are greatly appreciated and very helpful both to Huxley Golf and to our distributors in ensuring that, together, we continue to provide our customers world-wide with the very best range of premier quality all-weather golf surfaces together with first-class advice, installation standards and after-sales support.

“We are continuing to expand our network of specialist distributors and there are excellent opportunities for new Huxley Golf distributor/installers in some overseas countries and in a small number of territories within the UK.”
