The 2006 London Golf Show saw the launch of a new and exciting concept for golfers across the UK. The Hickory Golf Company have streamlined Hickory Golf, but above all made it affordable for golfers from all walks of life.
The concept is simple: to experience golf as it was played by the old greats nearly 100 years ago. The Hickory Golf Company supplies original hickory clubs and hand made leather pencil bags which creates a fantastic atmosphere on the day. They deliver the clubs on the morning of the event and collect them at the end of the day.
Ashley Foakes, director of golf development at The Hickory Golf Company explains the service, “The clubs we supply are original pre 1930’s hickories, fully restored to their original condition and completely playable. Being a golf fanatic myself and having worked in the industry for a good few years I felt something was needed to spice things up a bit.
