GolfBuddy announces the launch of its operations in Europe, with the headquarters to be located in Dublin, Ireland. John Ennis, who has over 25 years of experience in the golf industry, will be the general manager.

The team consists of 18 of the top sales representatives from all over Europe including, Italy, Spain, Belgium, France, UK, Germany, Holland, Sweden, Ireland, Croatia, Austria, and the Czech Republic.

“We have just concluded our annual sales conference in Girona, Spain, and we are very excited to be expanding our sales territory to Europe.” said, Peter Cho, vice president of sales for GolfBuddy. “We are mapping courses in Europe at a tremendous rate, and before the golf season in 2009, a vast majority of the courses will be ready to go.”

GolfBuddy Pro and Tour units both offer the same advanced features, but the Tour comes equipped with a colour screen.

GolfBuddy is currently the only hand-held GPS rangefinder on the market that comes with courses from all over the world, pre-programmed into its memory.

All the available courses in North America come pre-loaded, with no annual fees or download fees, and the unit is capable of storing up to 20,000 courses. It also features automatic course and hole recognition, a scorecard function, the ability to measure the distance of the last shot, and allows the user to add custom target points.
