GolfBuddy, the award-winning specialist golf GPS company, has appointed its Danish distributor Sports Backup A/S as its new distributor in Sweden.

Announcing the appointment, GolfBuddy Europe general manager, John Ennis, said: “GolfBuddy is experiencing a tremendous worldwide growth in sales and we believe Sports Backup will provide us with a fresh impetus in Sweden having done an excellent job in Denmark.

“We have good product awareness in both countries and we are looking forward to growing market share in the GPS category in Scandinavia.

“GolfBuddy is the most innovative rangefinder brand in golf and a Corporate Partner with the PGAs of Europe as its ‘official handheld GPS rangefinder’.”

Mappers walk courses on foot to ensure the accuracy of course maps and unlike other GPS brands, GolfBuddy never charges any annual membership fees, subscriptions or course download costs. Owning a GolfBuddy is completely fee-free for life.

Flemming Stein, CEO of Sports Backup, said: “We are delighted to expand our business into Sweden with GolfBuddy. It’s a fantastic, global brand with excellent products and we are looking forward to working with Swedish retailers to grow awareness and sales of GolfBuddy.”
