Golf GameBook, the free smartphone app featuring a golf community, live scoring, tournament manager and social chat, has joined forces with BlackBerry to support its on-going Golf 24/7 Challenge in Canada.
To support the launch of the Golf GameBook mobile app for BlackBerry’s Z10 mobile (available at http://appworld.blackberry.com/webstore/content/34915891/), the company is offering six Z10 smartphones as bi-weekly prizes in Golf GameBook’s Canadian 24/7 Challenge.
Mikko Rantanen, CEO of Golf GameBook Inc, said: “Hundreds of thousands of golfers from 115 countries around the world are already experiencing the fun and functionality Golf GameBook offers, and with the addition of this new BlackBerry app, exclusively for the Z10 device, we are giving even more players the chance to take their enjoyment of the game to another level.”
One of Golf GameBook’s advantages is its sophisticated but easy-to-use score entry system. All the popular game formats are included, and users can share scores on social media platforms instantly.
Via its mobile live scoring function, golfers can now keep score in multiple groups and track leaderboards hole-by-hole. An in-app chat-style commenting option, similar to Facebook, allows users to interact with friends while they stroll the fairways. To complement this, Golf GameBook has recently released an online service where all games, and larger tournaments, can be recorded from the app for live tournament scoring – all for free.
The Golf 24/7 Challenge in Canada is now on its 7th week and, ultimately, one lucky Canadian will win a trip of a lifetime to The Home of Golf, St Andrews in Scotland – courtesy of The Old Course Hotel. The winner and three friends will stay at The Old Course Hotel and play four spectacular courses, including the legendary Old Course at St Andrews, and enjoy luxury dinners.
In addition to the grand prize, and the new bi-weekly prizes from BlackBerry, Canadian golfers can win a one-year introductory membership to both The Georgian Bay Club and The Golf Club at LoraBay. Golf Canada is also providing bi-weekly merchandise packages as prizes.
Entry into the competition is simple – Canadian golfers only have to play golf and record their score with Golf GameBook to enter the contest.
