Golf Clubs Offered Help to Boost Revenue

12.40am 6th October 2009 - Corporate - This story was updated on Friday, November 6th, 2009

Jerry Kilby, a marketing consultant with 22 years experience in the European golf club industry, is offering a new marketing support service to golf clubs to help them identify opportunities for revenue growth and increased profits, all for less than £900 a year.

The Kanda Golf Marketing Support Service for golf clubs is a full and thorough audit of the business activity of a golf club, for both private members clubs and proprietary clubs.  The service looks at all aspects of revenue generation, to see if any opportunities are being missed and suggests practical, workable solutions to problems and opens up new opportunities.

Kanda Golf M.D. Jerry Kilby said: “Golf clubs today are faced with such issues as membership vacancies where there once were waiting lists; smaller societies and corporate days; lower green fee revenues and a reduction in bar and food sales as social habits have changed. Clubs have a real need to look at the way they find new customers as well as keep the ones they already have, and this is where the Kanda Golf Marketing Support Service can help identify the areas of the club’s business that need a boost, and suggest simple and practical ways to improve revenue generation.”

He continued: “For many years, golf clubs have retained agronomists and other specialist consultants to support their management team, and now this cost-effective service provides a golf club with the benefits of an experienced, independent and impartial marketing advisor.”

After a visit to the club and the gathering of all relevant information, Kanda Golf will produce a comprehensive marketing plan covering both strategic (positioning) issues the club could address and tactical (activity) plans for consideration by the club’s management.

The Kanda Golf Marketing Service is great value at only £850.00 for twelve months and includes:

  • an initial visit to the club;
  • an independent review of the club’s marketing activity, revenue streams and marketing costs;
  • an independent review of the club’s website and advertising strategy;
  • an independent review of the club’s communications strategies to members, individual customers and corporate clients;
  • the comprehensive marketing plan (in draft form) for the club to consider, adapt and approve; and
  • twelve months telephone and email support (Mon-Fri office hours) following the initial site visit.

Fees exclude VAT and travel expenses.

Kanda Golf began life in 1993 and was re-launched in 2007 by former PGA marketing Manager Jerry Kilby after a 5 year period of absence when he was General Manager of Nad Al Sheba Golf Club in Dubai.

Kanda Golf are now delighted to be able to include the Club Managers Association of Europe (CMAE) as clients, and to provide the services of Kanda Golf MD Jerry Kilby to act as their part-time Chief Executive Officer. Kanda Golf also support the CMAE with marketing services including the CMAE website, communications and membership recruitment.
