Golf Marketing Services Ltd (GMS) were crowned PR Team of the Year for the second consecutive year at the Pro Shop Europe Awards, on the day of the agency’s twelfth birthday.
Fighting off some stiff competition from golf’s leading marketing companies and teams, the agency became the first in the award’s history to win it back-to-back.
The team, who work for market-leading golf brands, resorts, sponsors and events across Europe, were specifically lauded for their work with acclaimed new development, Centurion Club.
Managing Partner, Phil Craghill, was present to accept the award on behalf of the team: “To be credited by our industry is always special.Each year the competition gets stronger, so to win this prestigious award two years running is really a credit to every one of our team.
“2013 has been a very exciting year, and we hope 2014 will present even more opportunities to succeed.”
The award tops off another successful year at GMS, which saw the successful launch of its new sister agency, Sport Social, bringing the communications skills honed in golf into other sport markets.
The Pro Shop Europe Awards are held annually at Wentworth Club, Surrey.
