Global Golf Advisors, the leading authority on successful ownership and management practices for golf and private club businesses, has named Derek Johnston and Rob Hill partners of the firm.

Johnston joined GGA in 2008 as a senior manager. Previously he was a manager and senior consultant for Deloitte & Touche in the firm’s Enterprise Risk Services practice and a consultant for Arthur Andersen in the Risk Consulting and Regulatory Services practice.

While at GGA, Johnston has led numerous client assignments ranging from market and marketing assessments and operational reviews to full scope strategic plans and financial models for clients across North America and around the world.

Hill joined GGA in 2012 as director of GGA’s Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) division. Previously he worked with Whitbread Plc and Marriott Hotels and Merrion Golf Management.

While at GGA, Hill has been instrumental in expanding research and market knowledge capabilities that benefit clients across the globe.

Johnston is based in GGA’s Toronto office; Hill directs GGA’s EMEA practice from Dublin, Ireland.

As partners, Johnston and Hill will continue to support clients’ marketing, market research and membership needs while taking on more responsibility for business development at the firm.

“Derek and Rob have distinguished themselves with their ability to find innovative and strategic solutions to clients’ needs,” said Henry DeLozier, senior partner of the firm.
