Glenmuir, one of Europe’s leading golf apparel brands, has appointed Power Marketing UK (PMUK) as its new PR and marketing agency.
The Lanark, Scotland-based clothing company will work closely with PMUK founder Craig Bousfield to develop a marketing and PR strategy which underpins its status as the European leader in the club, corporate and event merchandise business.
Andy Bough, marketing director, said, “We are very pleased to be working with Craig, who has a great reputation and knows the industry inside out. Taking the decision to appoint an external agency is an important one for Glenmuir and we’ll be using PMUK to help us develop new and exciting PR and marketing channels and also maximise our existing relationships.”
Glenmuir is a brand right at the heart of golf. A preferred supplier to the European Ryder Cup team for 20 years, it also has a close working relationship with the PGA, European Tour and is the official clothing supplier to the Golf Foundation.
Said Bousfield, “I am delighted. Glenmuir is a very well-respected brand, backed by a very professional management team and with great new range for Spring Summer 2008. There’s a lot to get my teeth into and I’m looking forward to the challenge.”
Bousfield has worked in the golf industry for 12 years – and set up PMUK in 2006 after a 16 year stint working for EMAP, where he was a previous commercial director of Today’s Golfer and Golf World.
