FootJoy Teams Up With Ryder Cup Europe

FootJoy has signed an agreement with Ryder Cup Europe to become an Official Licensee of the biennial tournament that sees Europe & the United States compete for the iconic Samuel Ryder trophy. The deal, which runs up to The Ryder Cup at Gleneagles in September 2014, enables FJ to incorporate the official Ryder Cup logo on its in-demand Gloves, Socks & Apparel.

Russell Lawes, FJ’s Marketing Manager commented, “The Ryder Cup is the biggest spectacle in golf and we are proud to provide our retail partners  with an essential pack of must-have garments, packaged and crested with one of the most iconic logos in sport. We have enjoyed a long and proud relationship with The European Tour and this license agreement only serves to enhance the all-round appeal and credibility of the FJ brand.”

To celebrate the announcement, the company has launched a capsule 2014 Ryder Cup collection that is available for loyal FJ stockists across Europe to purchase with immediate effect. This ‘must-have’ limited-edition range includes FJ Gloves (with RC Q-Mark), FJ Socks (RC Packaging) and an assortment of Performance Apparel, in team Europe blue tones and adorned with the 2014 Gleneagles logo.

“Not only does the FJ collection provide exceptional sell-through potential for retailers, those who pre- book the complete package will also be entered into a draw to win two one-day tickets to The Ryder Cup at Gleneagles,” added Lawes.

The new FJ range will also form part of an exclusive Ryder Cup Collection, featuring other premium brands that are available for consumers to purchase at the Official 2014 Ryder Cup online shop –
