Flood damage, affecting irrigation control system satellites on all 36 holes at both the Wisley and East Sussex National clubs has been repaired by TIS (Southern) Limited

Flood damage, affecting irrigation control system satellites on all 36 holes at both the Wisley and East Sussex National clubs has been repaired by the golf course irrigation specialists TIS (Southern) Limited who are members of the Hydroscape Group.

Put out of action by flood water created by recent record rainfall the satellites, 72 in total, were replaced in time to enable course watering to be implemented at the start of the recent spell of dry warmer weather which has sent temperatures soaring to 30C° in southern England.

“Satellites, which control the application of water in selected zones on golf courses equipped with an irrigation system, are able to cope comfortably with seasonal rainfall,” said TIS operations director John Roberts, “but continuos immersion in deep floodwater caused the problems.
