Flexible Membership Scheme Launches This Month

12.30am 29th March 2007 - Corporate

The owners of Great Hadham Golf & Country Club are launching a new membership scheme this month, targeted at the army of golfers who for reasons of time, money or lifestyle cannot justify conventional club membership.

Golfers can join iGolf.cc for £10 per month. They can play at any of the clubs participating in the scheme. Bookings are made online over the internet. Payments are made against a charge card which the golfer tops up as needed. All accounting records and user data are held by iGolf.cc. Administration of the system by the participating clubs is at a minimum and can be managed on line through a laptop computer.

Golfers choose a club conveniently located to them as their ‘home’ club, which enables them to obtain a handicap. That club receives half the membership fee. All participating clubs keep 100% of green fee income from use of their facilities by iGolf.cc member golfers. The use of the charge card system enables clubs to vary prices across peak and off peak periods.

The scheme has been developed in association with BRS Golf, the UK and Ireland’s leading online tee time management system.

Ian Bailey, the MD of iGolf.cc is running a seminar at Gt Hadham G&CC on 19th April open to all clubs in Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire and Essex, where the system will be demonstrated. The plan is to hold similar seminars in other parts of the country over the coming months, but clubs which are interested now are invited to contact Ian for further information.
