Textron Golf, Turf and Specialty Products, manufacturers of turf maintenance equipment, utility vehicles and golf cars, has won the Anglia Business Awards Exporter of the Year for 2001.
“We have worked particularly hard on our export marketing strategy,” said managing director Harold Pinto, “and have witnessed significant growth in sales to the former USSR states and Eastern Europe. Overall export sales accounted for 56% of our business last year with sales to the Czech Republic increasing 10-fold in the last two years. Our golf car sales have remained very strong, especially to the warmer climes of southern Europe.”
