DJB clubs are switching to MH Systems

Significant numbers of golf clubs are switching from DJB to leading developer MH Systems, writes Charles de Haan. With over 300 golf club customers already using their software, MH Systems is a leading player in the specialist sector and for many clubs switching suppliers is proving a very good decision.

Three such clubs are Porters Park GC, Exeter G&CC and Royal Cinque Ports GC, each with a large membership and related administration requirements, especially Exeter with over 4,500 members to manage.

Faced with the problem of changing their DJB software, Russell Mayne, Golf Manager of Exeter G&CC was delighted with his decision to change suppliers: “The events of last year gave us a huge potential problem because we had come to rely quite heavily on DJB to help us create over 4,500 subscription notices and we also used a bespoke version of their bookings software which had been tailored specifically to suit our needs.

“MH Systems engineers spent two days sitting with us to get an understanding of our requirements, then they re-created the entire billing system in their GCGold software. They held our hands throughout the entire billing period to make sure the job was done correctly. They have also added numerous new features to their own CHIPS bookings and EPoS system to allow us to replace the DJB booking software and our till system with one integrated package.

“I am very impressed with their professionalism and attitude towards customer service and believe that, although it wasn’t pre-planned, this move to MH Systems will bring great benefits to our club.”

MH Systems: a significant player in the golf club market

With over 300 golf club customers, MH Systems is not only one of the larger software developers but one of the most advanced. By providing real time monitoring of stock movement, profit, deposit payments, debtors and VAT calculations MH Systems has become the choice of pro-active club managers. MH Systems is also helping clubs exploit their online potential with new features such as members checking Bar Card account balances, and entering and paying for competitions via the club’s website.

Integration made simple

Integration is much more than a buzz word for MH Systems. Access control systems from suppliers like Paxton, Progeny and ACT can all be operated in tandem with MH System’s software, and for clubs with the BRS Golf online booking system and CLUBView website system, MH Systems can now offer full integration, enabling one Membership database for all three systems.

With this open minded attitude and a full time support team from 8 till late, it’s little wonder that Peter Marshall of Porters Park had this to say about switching from DJB to MH Systems: “Although, like many other clubs, we did not intend to change our systems at this stage, I am delighted with the end result and feel that this particular cloud really had a real silver lining.

“I am looking forward to working with MH Systems and helping them take the CHIPS system even further forward in the coming years. I would strongly recommend that any club considering a change of system speaks to MH Systems.”
