Direct Golf is celebrating after a record-breaking run of sales across the Black Friday five day event – when sales online jumped a whopping 203% from last year’s figures.
The bumper range of offers, announced as part of the nationwide weekend of huge savings in the UK retail sector, saw customers awarded a £10 discount on spends above £75; a £25 discount off £150 baskets, and £50 off when customers spent more than £300.
In addition to these superb savings, many items were heavily discounted over the weekend, to ensure every golfer could find a huge saving.
The discounts were set in direct response to those offered by rival golfing retailers – ensuring that once again, Direct Golf was able to offer bigger and better discounts than any of their competitors.
The offers, which were available in Direct Golf stores across the country and via direct-golf.co.uk, meant that like-for-like sales were up more than 130% on the same 5 day period last year.
It also led to a record-breaking number of visitors to Direct Golf through all channels and a staggering 51% increase in November sales compared to the same period in 2013.
Direct Golf owner and founder, PGA Fellow Professional John Andrew, said: “We have been blown away by the demand so we have been working around the clock to make sure our world class customer service was maintained and all orders were fulfilled on time.
“Due to the high level of traffic to our website, telesales and stores we added extra resource to guarantee the customer experience was not affected in any way.
“I would like to personally thank my team at Direct Golf for their dedication and hard work over this promotional period and I know they will continue to deliver this work rate throughout the year.”
Direct Golf marketing manager, PGA Professional, Simon Corp added: “We are absolutely thrilled to announce these record-breaking sales across our Black Friday promotion. We had hoped for a big weekend, but this has far exceeded our expectations.
“Direct Golf is the UK’s number one discount golf retailer and we wanted to ensure that we offered the very best deals on Black Friday.
“We looked at what the rest of the golf market was offering over Black Friday and we made the conscious decision to better the other offers out there to drive home our message of we will not be beaten on price. We’re delighted so many Direct Golf customers have benefited from these bumper deals.”
