Innovative software developer Dancin’ Dogg Golf announces its award-winning OptiShot +3 Infrared Simulator is available at select Direct Golf UK locations and www.direct-golf.co.uk
To celebrate this partnership, Direct Golf UK shops will host OptiShot +3 demo days where visitors can experience ‘the world’s best-selling, most accurate in-home simulator’. Each location will also run a competition whereby consumers who try OptiShot are entered to win a free unit (£399 value). The Demo Day calendar and complete list of participating Direct Golf locations is available at www.dancindogg.com.
“As part of our dedication to total customer satisfaction, we are consistently adding exciting new products to our mix of world class brands,” says Simon Corp, Marketing Manager at Direct Golf UK. “OptiShot +3 definitely fits this bill, a superb solution to help people play more golf, using their own clubs, without leaving the comfort of their living room, especially compared to options that can cost more than £25,000. The increase of sports available in the home has been massive, and this product raises the bar even further on home consumer innovation.”
Connecting with Windows computers via a plug-and-play interface, OptiShot +3 requires only 8-1/2 feet of swing space. It allows up to four players per round to compete using their own clubs by hitting real balls, foam balls (provided) or no ball at all. Infrared sensors on a durable swing pad precisely record club-head speed, face angle, swing path, distance, tempo, face contact and ball flight.
In addition to 15 Core courses that come with the system – including host sites of the 2010 U.S. Open (“Monterey Classic”) and PGA Championship (“Whispering Dunes”), as well as The Players Championship (“Ponte Vedra”) – OptiShot +3 users can practice on a realistic driving range, compete using the par-3 option or purchase premium course replicas of other world famous layouts.
“With the best golf weather still months away, so many players are starving to practice or play real golf,” says Dancin’ Dogg’s European Business Manager, Mike Smith. “Combine that with the release of our latest software update – including enhanced graphics, user interface, skills development features, game types, courses and more – and the timing of this launch couldn’t be better.”
