Club Car went into overdrive for the dramatic four-hole play-off at last week’s BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth.

As Official Golf Car Supplier to The European Tour, Club Car shuttled the three play-off contenders – Italy’s Matteo Manassero, Scotland’s Marc Warren and Englishman Simon Khan – and their caddies between the 18th green and tee.

While Warren dropped out at the first extra hole, Manassero and Khan made the trip on their Club Car Precedent i2 golf cars a total of four times before the Italian claimed victory.

Kevin Hart, Club Car Golf Director for Europe, Middle East, India and Africa, said: “The BMW PGA Championship is the flagship event of The European Tour and we have a significant fleet of golf cars and utility vehicles at Wentworth all week.

“While most of the work and logistics goes on behind the scenes, it was nice to see our vehicles playing their part in the play-off, which proved an exciting climax to an outstanding week.”

Club Car is the world’s largest manufacturer of small-wheel, zero-emissions electric vehiclesand is an Official Supplier to The European Tour and The Ryder Cup 2014 at Gleneagles.
