Club Car exclusive

8.45am 15th April 2004 - Corporate

Club Car has won a national account contract to become the exclusive supplier of golf and utility vehicles to PGA European Tour Courses (PGAETC). Winning this account is extremely significant for the company. Not only is it a 6-year deal but it was also previously held by one of their competitors.
PGAETC own and/or manage a group of Europe’s leading golf courses, most of which have hosted professional golf tournaments. PGAETC has supplier partnerships with some of the best names in the industry. Combined with their management experience, this helps them to bring added value to each new partner course by improving their overall efficiency and cost effectiveness.
Craig Dyce, general manager of PGAETC, is delighted with the new long-term partnership agreement with Club Car. “We pride ourselves on only working with the very best suppliers and we firmly believe that Club Car provides the premium product in the golf car and utility vehicle markets,” he said. “This partnership demonstrates our commitment to providing our customers with the very best golf experience at all of our facilities.”
Craig is also quick to point out that although the quality of the product is an important consideration, Club Car’s after sales service was equally important in making their final decision. “At PGAETC it is important that we consistently maintain the high standards we set ourselves, and this in turn means that we demand the same level of on going care from our suppliers. We are confident that Club Car understand the importance of this and can deliver the best after sales care.”
Club Car has already sold 30 golf cars to PGA Golf de Catalunya in Spain, 100 more to Quinta do Lago in Portugal and 45 further units to Fleesensee in Germany. Kevin Hart, national account manager for Europe, The Middle East & Africa, sees this as just the beginning.
“Establishing a national account deal with PGA European Tour Courses is really exciting for Club Car, and will generate sales in the region of 745 units over the next 6 years,” he said. “Last year Club Car’s main intention was to develop mutually beneficial long-term relationships with large golf accounts and this deal comes as a result of that hard work.”
