After years of legal wrangling, Acushnet Co. and Callaway Golf have resolved their differences out of court, agreeing to a settlement of all pending litigation and disputes.

Callaway Golf Company and Acushnet Company jointly announce that they have reached a settlement of all pending litigation and disputes, including disputes beyond the golf ball suits between the parties. The settlement comes more than six years after the companies first confronted each other over patent-infringement concerns.

No money changed hands, but under the terms of the agreement, each company will have specified rights to make ball and club products under patents owned by the other.

The patents in question involve technological breakthroughs in producing multilayer, solid-core golf balls.

Details of the settlement are confidential.
