AMTEC expansion explains expo exit

Amenity Technology has carried out a major company re-alignment to reflect its wider operations. This explains the company’s absence from SALTEX at Windsor

Amenity Technology, a leading supplier in the amenity turfcare market, has undergone a major company re-alignment to cope with its rapid growth of the last two years. Explaining the developments managing directing Carl Crome, speaking at the company’s Reading headquarters, said, “We have had such growth recently that we simply had to re-structure and to create a new company, Amenity Holdings. In effect we have broken the company down into the four market segments covering amenity supplies, publishing, print and design and recruitment.”

A direct result of the company changes is Amenity Technology’s absence from this week’s SALTEX show. “We would love to be exhibiting at SALTEX for the tenth consecutive year,” said Crome, “but with the re-alignment and more emphasis being placed on media marketing and e-commerce we just cannot fit it into our schedule this year. However we intend to have a presence at SALTEX next year in a totally different format that better reflects our market position. I must make it plain that we regard SALTEX as an excellent show for both greenkeepers and groundsmen alike.”

Carl Crome confirmed that Amenity’s positioning at other shows will be unchanged and that the annual Amenity reception will go ahead as planned on Tuesday 21st January at the BTME in Harrogate.
