Sprayer Operator of the YearAmenity Forum is looking to recognise the best practice in sprayer operation – with the last chance to enter for the 2015 competition.

There is the opportunity to win some great prizes – and the ultimate accolade for the winner’s CV as the Amenity Sprayer Operator of the Year.

They can also gain some great practical tips and useful advice from other operators to get the best results from every application.

Anyone who is a regular sprayer operator can enter. It’s not about having the latest sprayer technology, but rewarding those who are doing the best job for accurate, safe and targeted spray applications.

Every entrant will receive BIGGA and NRoSO CPD points. Sprayer operators are encouraged to now enter one of three separate categories of the Award:

  • Sports and amenity turf using boom sprayer
  • Hard and porous surfaces using vehicle mounted equipment
  • Hard and porous surfaces / Invasive weed species using hand held equipment

Amenity Forum Chairman, Professor John Moverley highlighted that the Awards will be supported by a dedicated Amenity Forum website to record and share the experiences of the industry’s best sprayer operators, magazine articles and podcast videos, along with social media channels to spread ideas and tips as widely as possible.

Registration for the Awards closes on 30 March 2015. Entrants will be sent an application form to complete, with a short-list to be judged with a visit over the summer.
