With a record pre-book, sales growth and international news announcements PGB is starting 2010 with a spring in its step.
Premium Golf Brands, owner of Green Lamb and Dwyers & Co, worldwide licensee of Calvin Klein Golf and distributor of Fairway and Greene, Cutter & Buck, Zero Restriction and Pukka is delighted to make a range of announcements that reinforce its status as Europe’s leading golf apparel company.
Since the company was founded two years ago, Premium Golf Brands has been undergoing a transition from a successful family-run firm into a multi-brand sales and marketing business with an international client base. Investment in people, internal processes and brands has enabled this evolution and the results are now being seen across the company with a reported double digit growth on Spring/Summer pre-book sales compared to last year.
This growth can be attributed to various successes across the company, not least the Calvin Klein Golf business. The brand is now enjoying wide distribution in over 20 European countries, has been experiencing great success in Canada and has recently launched into South Africa and Australia. Announcements are expected in the coming months of significant licensing deals in the UAE, Asia and the Far East. Such is the success of the brand in Europe that its clothing care instructions are multi lingual!
Building on its 21 years as a leading apparel brand, Green Lamb remains a favourite with consumers. It represents a significant proportion of the company’s business and continues to grow from strength as it reaches new markets which for the first time include Canada. An initial pre-book order from the company’s first international licensee has already been doubled, clearly indicating the appeal of PGB’s specialist ladies brand.
An emerging brand that it also experiencing growth is Dwyers & Co. After a successful launch in early 2009, the brand has sold through extremely well. Orders have increased with existing retailers and it also now enjoying wider distribution.
PGB is also extremely proud that Fairway and Greene will be an Official Licensee of The Ryder Cup in 2010. As part of the agreement, Fairway and Greene will be on sale to the general public in the Official Merchandising Pavillion at Celtic Manor in September.
Andy Bough, PGB’s European Sales Director is optimistic about business in the coming months, “with good news across the board, Premium Golf Brands’ sales teams are hitting the road with the company’s AW10 ranges with a positive spring in their step. Previews of the AW10 collections have been extremely well received and we are expecting a lot of interest in all of our brands.”
