A new era begins as CMAE launch new brand and name

11.21am 24th June 2022 - Corporate

The CMAE held an Extraordinary General Meeting on 5th June and officially launched their new brand identity, including a name change of the association, alongside an updated strategic plan which was presented to members.

Previously named ‘Club Managers Association of Europe’ since its inception in 2001, the CMAE has now officially changed its name to ‘Club Management Association of Europe’ with immediate effect.

“We have members involved in our education programmes who are all at different stages in their career.” explains CMAE Director of Education Torbjorn Johansson.  “The name change from ‘Managers’ to ‘Management’ will better reflect CMAE’s inclusivity for all members, no matter what stage in their career they may be and is in line with our strategic vision to advancing the profession of club management”.

The name change comes as the CMAE officially launched their new brand and logo, which was first unveiled to members at the AGM in November 2021.

“Our new CMAE and MDP logos is the result of many months of work from a sub committee formed specifically to develop the new brand alongside our partners MB Golf.” said Torbjorn. “The new logo gives us a modernised look and feel whilst also keeping a connection with our original brand and roots. We are very happy with the result and look forward to working with our new brand across all of our platforms and marketing materials.”

CMAE also presented the Strategic Plan covering the 6 Pillars the association will work with. Professional Development the most important one including education. “We wanted to show what we will focus on the coming years, Torbjorn comments. We are growing and want to make sure our Strategy follow suit. Exciting times ahead for the Association and everyone attached to it in any way.”
