Frilford Heath Golf Club in Oxfordshire has completed a major £1.5 million investment programme across its clubhouse and three championship golf courses.

At the heart of the improvements is a newly transformed clubhouse, including the addition of an 18-seat boardroom designed to welcome business meetings, off-site strategy days and client events. Available for external hire, the air-conditioned boardroom features flatscreen presentation facilities, in-room refreshments and dedicated support from the club’s food and beverage team.

Russell Stebbings, Managing Director of Frilford Heath Golf Club, which last month hosted Open Regional Qualifying, commented: “This latest investment reflects our long-term vision to deliver a truly unique offering in English golf. We are proud to be a 54-hole heathland golf estate where quality, sustainability and hospitality go hand in hand. Whether you’re here to play, learn, relax or do business, we’ve created an environment that delivers on every level for members, guests and visitors.”

Bunkers have been renovated across all three courses, while irrigation systems have also been upgraded

Across Frilford Heath’s three 18-hole championship courses – the Red, Green, and Blue – significant work has been completed to maintain and elevate the club’s tournament-ready playing conditions. These include the renovation of all bunkers across all 54 holes, and the installation of a new app-controlled TORO irrigation system on the Red Course – which is already operational on the Blue – providing precision water management that aligns with the club’s sustainability goals.

Upcoming work on the Blue Course’s drainage will further ensure year-round playability and further enhance turf health. The irrigation enhancements are supported by Frilford Heath’s on-site reservoir, further demonstrating the club’s commitment to efficient water usage and ongoing environmental sustainability.
