Dundonald Links has once again been recognised among Scotland’s premium golf tourism venues after being named as a finalist in two categories at the 2026 Scottish Golf Tourism Awards.
The acclaimed Ayrshire resort is in contention to retain the ‘Best Clubhouse’ accolade that it won for the second time in three years in 2025 while, in further recognition for recent investment across the resort, Dundonald Links has also been shortlisted in the ‘Best Pro Shop’ category.
Overlooking Kyle Phillips’ modern links course, the clubhouse has become a focal point of the Dundonald Links experience. Its standout features include the Canny Crow restaurant, serving locally sourced Scottish favourites, alongside premium changing facilities, thermal suites and whisky room.
David-Ross Nicol, director of golf at Dundonald Links, said: “To be shortlisted once again for the ‘Best Clubhouse’ honour, particularly as defending champion, is something we’re extremely proud of and a real credit to the team who deliver such high standards day in, day out.
“The pro shop nomination is especially pleasing as it reflects a lot of hard work behind the scenes. We’ve focused heavily on improving the retail offering and overall experience for our guests, so to see that recognised at a national level is hugely encouraging.”

Dundonald Links’ continued nomination success at the Scottish Golf Tourism Awards comes during a landmark period for the resort, now part of Verde Resorts. Later this year, the venue will once again host the 2026 ISPS HANDA Women’s Scottish Open, extending the Ayrshire resort’s longstanding association with one of the marquee events on the global women’s golf calendar. Open Championship Final Qualifying is also set to return to Dundonald Links in 2026.
The winners of the 2026 Scottish Golf Tourism Awards will be announced on March 12 at a ceremony held at the National Museum of Scotland in Edinburgh.
