Burhill Golf and Leisure Limited (BGL), operator of 10 golfing venues and 22 courses across the UK, has taken delivery of 145 new Club Car vehicles, further enhancing the customer experience across all of its venues.

Ready for the 2016 season, BGL will replace its venues’ existing fleet, with 144 brand new Precedent i2 golf cars and one new Villager 6 utility vehicle, which will be used at its flagship site, Burhill Golf Club.

“We are constantly looking to invest in all of our venues,” said Guy Riggott, Operations Director at BGL.

“We aim to provide members and visitors with the finest facilities possible when they visit one of our clubs, and our long-standing relationship with Club Car, and its official distributor Bradshaw, has allowed us to offer the best fleet available for our golfers.”

The new fleet of golf vehicles from Club Car, the world’s largest manufacturer of small-wheel electric vehicles and official supplier to the St. Andrews Links Trust and The European Tour, features the Excel™ Electric Drive System, a 360⁰ wrap-around bumper, and ergonomic seats, all designed to enhance the golfer’s experience on the course.

In addition, Burhill Golf Club will also take delivery of a Villager 6 vehicle, part of Club Car’s Carryall range, later this year. The car includes ergonomic seating to accommodate up to six people and a Subaru 404cc overhead cam engine with electronic fuel injection for increased horse power and fuel efficiency.

BGL has been working with Club Car and Bradshaw for nearly a decade, a long-term relationship that Kevin Hart, Sales Director Golf for Club Car Europe, Middle East and Africa, believes is down to understanding the needs of the customer:

“BGL is one of the UK’s most progressive golf course operators and it places a huge amount of focus on ensuring golfers experience the highest quality of customer service. Our long-term relationship with them is testament to our ability to meet these exacting standards and we look forward to further developing this partnership for many years to come.”
