To celebrate this week’s Masters in Augusta, Leeds Golf Centre is holding Yorkshire’s very first Footgolf Masters tournament on Sunday 10th April.
The tournament will see avid footgolfers battle the course to score in the least number of shots possible, with the chance to be crowned winner of the Footgolf Masters. The winning individual will be presented with a replica of the green Masters’ jacket and trophy, along with a night’s stay at Roomzzz Aparthotels.
The Masters is one of the world’s most prestigious golfing tournaments and Leeds Golf Centre plans to make its corresponding Footgolf tournament a key event on the sporting calendar to take place annually.
Footgolf was first launched in Yorkshire by Leeds Golf Centre in 2014 with a 6 hole course. Combining football with golf, the sport has become an international craze, appealing to a wide audience of sports men and women.
Nigel Sweet, Operations Manager at Leeds Golf Centre, said: “We’re excited to launch Yorkshire’s first ever Footgolf Masters and have already received a fantastic response from people across Leeds and further afield signing up to win that green jacket.
“We are expecting a busy day from start to finish so please make sure you book online or give us a call to secure your place.”
Leeds Golf Centre is home to both the 18-hole Wike Ridge course and The Oaks par-3 course. Following a multimillion pound redesign, including the addition of stunning water features, over a thousand 20-year-old trees and 46 brand-new bunkers, Leeds Golf Centre’s new course layout poses a more memorable, more complete golf experience at the heart of Yorkshire’s premium golfing destination. Leeds Golf Centre is the UK base of The Leadbetter Golf Academy.
