Diamond Golf, the sole UK distributor of Mitsubishi Rayon Graphite shafts, is seeking to appoint a number of Mitsubishi Rayon ‘Approved Dealers’ under a new key accounts programme.

Joining the key accounts programme carries significant benefits, including: exclusive pricing, free demo shafts, large discounts off further demo stock, an authorised dealer welcome pack and use of official logos for advertising.

Said Daren Treacy, the MD of Sussex-based Diamond Golf: “We’re looking for partners who want to be part of an incredible success story. For the past 11 years Mitsubishi has outshone all the other shaft manufacturers on the planet, having been used by more than 250 winners on the world’s major tours.

“The shafts are a must-have product for anyone committed to providing a top-class custom fitting service and our new key accounts programme will give selected customers a range of benefits to enable them to maximise their status.”

Mitsubishi Rayon Composites (MRC Golf) have been manufacturing golf shafts in Japan for more than 25 years and during this time the company has grown to become a leading worldwide supplier.

MRC Golf is a division of a multi-billion dollar materials organisation which has created thousands of different resin combinations and materials. MRC Golf has utilised this

wealth of expertise in their ‘vertical integration’ – controlling all the components that

comprise their finished shafts.

Key MRC Golf shafts offered by Diamond include KuroKage, Diamana, Bassara, Fubuki and OT Iron.

KuroKage shafts feature two key technologies: Low Resin Content Prepreg and Titanium Nickel (TiNi) Wire. After using TiNi Wire in ultra-light products, MRC wanted to see how   it would perform in heavier, tour-weighted shafts, which led to KuroKage. The specialist low resin prepreg gives higher density fibre without extra weight. Fibre plus wire equals a potent combination of power and accuracy.

Diamana is a popular tour choice that uses three proprietary technologies: 3G Multi-

Dimensional Interlay (MDI), DIALEAD™ prepreg and a Tough-QURE™ fast-curing resin system. The Diamana series delivers precise control, stability and responsiveness, with bend profiles to suit all manner of players.

Bassara is a premium range of lightweight shafts that achieve ultimate consistency through the use of advanced lightweight materials. TiNi Wire allows for added strength and improved energy transfer. Currently featured in the Bassara line up is a sub 40g shaft – that’s lighter than a golf ball! Furthermore – engineers in Japan are currently testing a 29g shaft.

Fubuki shafts combine advanced Modulus Differential Technology (MDT) for fine-tuned fibre placement and the stainless steel mesh technology of Power “Ninja” Core (PNC) for minimal shaft deformation and ultimate energy transfer.

OT™ Iron shafts use a new material for the golf shaft industry called Tow Prepreg, which uses carbon fibres that are arranged in super-strong “bundles” (the way a steel cable is made). These bundles are impregnated with resin and then woven together like a braid. The braiding is incredibly resistant to twisting and ovaling giving greater consistency and minimising vibration. OTi shafts produce a mid-launch and mid to low spin.

Founded in 1978, Diamond Golf carries the widest range of golf club components, workshop items and training aids in Europe.

It stocks over £750,000 of products at wholesale value and has a 4,000 sq. ft. warehouse and office in West Sussex, with 12 employees focused entirely on delivering great services to golf Professionals and the industry.
