Royal Dornoch Golf Club officials are driving in style again this year after renewing a sponsorship deal with Harry Fairbairn Ltd, Inverness.
The world renowned club, part of the Highland Golf Links partnership, has been given use of a 520d SE Touring automatic vehicle for the rest of the season, courtesy of the Inverness-based BMW dealer.
The car, which has the famous Royal Dornoch wildcat crest on each side, will be used to take club representatives to competitions and for other official business around the country.
It was presented to Neil Hampton, the club’s General Manager, by Iain Clark, Head of Business at Harry Fairbairn Inverness. The firm will use The Championship and Struie courses at Royal Dornoch for entertainment of clients.
Neil Hampton said: “We are delighted to extend this sponsorship deal with Harry Fairbairn BMW and continue our partnership with such a prestigious company.
“The club is committed to supporting and working with Highland businesses and this arrangement fits well with our policy.”
Iain Clark added: “BMW and Royal Dornoch Golf Club are global brands and working together brings mutual benefits so we are excited to extend our relationship.”
Royal Dornoch’s Championship Course is ranked No. 6 on Golf Digest’s Best Courses in the World list. In 2016 the club will mark 400 years of golf being played on the town’s famous links.
Highland Golf Links also includes Castle Stuart Golf Links and The Nairn Golf Club, as well as the Kingsmills Hotel and Culloden House Hotel, Inverness; and the Royal Golf Hotel, at Royal Dornoch. The group promotes Play and Stay packages in the Highlands to encourage golf tourism.
