The 2015 Asian Golf Awards is all set to roll out the red carpet and honour Asia’s ‘Best of the Best’. The longest-running and only pan-Asian programme that recognizes the top golf clubs and the most outstanding men and women of the club industry will celebrate this prestigious occasion during the 2015 Asia Pacific Golf Summit (APGS) to be staged in Singapore on October 14 and 15.
The Asian Golf Awards culminates three months of on-line polling, during which more than forty-eight award categories were polled and more than 72,000 valid votes were counted.
Besides the Asian Golf Awards, the 2015 List of ‘The Most Powerful People in Golf in Asia’ will also be announced. This list is a joint programme undertaken by the Asia Pacific Golf Group (APGG) in collaboration with the publishers of Golf Inc.
“We are proud of the growth of the Asian Golf Awards and together with the Asian Power List, we feel that we have a unique and solid programme in place that receives industry-wide support and is also recognized as the best in Asia,” said Mike Sebastian, chief executive officer of APGG, the owner and producer of the programme.
To mark the growth of the programme, The Asian Golf Awards Museum has been launched. This highly innovative facility is a permanent shrine to honour Asia’s best over the years, starting from 2006. The museum is curated by APGG and is “live” at www.asiangolfawards.com
APGS 2015 will showcase ‘innovation at work’. “The primary objective of APGS from the outset has always been focused on seeking out new ways to get the job done better in the club industry and 2015 marks a continuation of this drive to innovate and keep the golf and club industry relevant to rapid changes,” declared Sebastian.
In line with this commitment to change and innovate, APGS 2015 has lined up golf’s most powerful business gurus to set the tone for the club industry and to work with delegates to explore and seek out new and ingenuous ways of growing the industry in Asia.
“APGS is not about a bunch of guys just talking – it is about you, the delegate – we want to give you the stage to air your hopes and aspirations, your challenges and frustrations and we see APGS being that crucible that will blend everything together and produce new ideas and solutions for the industry going forward,” said Bill Sanderson, one of the world-class industry gurus who will engage delegates in a ‘Town-Hall style’ debate.
“APGS 2015 will be different in many respects,” continued Sebastian. “The biggest difference will be made by you as you take the floor to share with us your thoughts, your views, your ideas and your vision for the club industry.
“APGS 2015 is your event and we want you to take the lead with our gurus to map out the future of the golf and club industry in Asia. It’s Time To Take Charge! See you at APGS 2015!”
