Direct Golf Makes Flying Start to Open Week

The specialist golf retailer is giving customers amazing discounts across its range of products both in-store and online to celebrate the 144th Open Championship, which starts at St Andrews tomorrow (16th July) while visitors to The Open in St Andrews have witnessed one of the retailer’s attention-grabbing ‘guerrilla marketing’ campaigns.

Some of golf’s biggest equipment names are included in the summer promotion, with bargain buys available on selected TaylorMade and Cobra clubs including adjustable drivers, hybrids and sets of irons.

For a limited time only, golf fans can take advantage of savings of £79 off men’s and ladies’ GEL putters, and great value can also be found in Direct Golf’s apparel collection, with three-for-two deals available on selected clothing ranges for men and women.

Simon Corp, Direct Golf’s marketing manager, said: “We were determined to mark the busiest week in the golfing calendar with something extra special. Everyone loves getting their hands on a good bargain and there is no shortage of fantastic deals to be snapped up on all sorts of golfing goodies.”

Yorkshire-based Direct Golf UK has 21 branches nationwide and has enjoyed massive growth since being founded by John Andrew, a Fellow of the PGA, 24 years ago.

Latest figures released at the start of this month revealed that the innovative company is on target for a record financial year after posting increased year-on-year growth for the 10th consecutive month in June.
