The European Disabled Golf Association has great pleasure in welcoming Karl Morris to the team that is driving the Association forwards.
Karl is the MD and Founder of a specialist company KRL Sport, focusing within the world of sport and business, with particular expertise in the golf sector. In his new role as Commercial Director, Karl brings a wealth of experience and is clearly looking forward to his work with the EDGA.
Karl said: “Having been involved with golf for many years, along with many others my impression had always been that golf was an able-bodied sport, played by the privileged few.
“Working with the Lee Westwood and Darren Clarke Golf brands over the last five years allowed me to develop golf projects that could become true community grass roots sports programmes, delivering to over 8,500 young golfers each year.
“My work with England Golf this year has also given me further insight into areas where we can help players with disability to develop and thrive in the game.
“When approached by the EDGA to join their team and become part of the fantastic work they are doing, I was only too happy to take a role whereby I could deliver a number of key benefits – allowing the Association to enjoy greater financial sustainability, continue to grow and be more recognised for the fantastic work that is being carried out with regard to helping people with impairment to start, stay, succeed and enjoy the fantastic game that is golf.”
Karl added: “An early objective in my role as Commercial Director is to engage with leading world golfers to become Ambassadors for the EDGA, and we’re delighted with progress made here, with an exciting announcement to be made shortly.”
