The Golf Trade Show 2015 has announced the line up of expert golf industry speakers for this year’s two-day educational programme, open to PGA members attending Europe’s largest golf retail and education event.
Shaped by those PGA members surveyed in early 2015, seminars take place on the Tuesday and Wednesday of the three-day event staged at Harrogate International Centre, Yorkshire, on 6-8 October, 2015.
Featuring expert speakers on a variety of topics ranging from managing staff more effectively to junior coaching and biomechanics to growing the game, the timetable is devised to help PGA professionals learn new information to help enhance every aspect of their businesses.
In 2015 the ever-popular Dr Rob Neal returns to the educational line-up, which also includes two speakers who recently presented at the 2015 PGA of America Teaching & Coaching Conference in Orlando; Dr Paul Hurrion and James Ridyard, the latter of whom will be speaking about developing a tour quality wedge game.
In addition, the show welcomes, for the first time, the former Performance Director of UK Athletics, Dave Collins, who has worked with more than 60 World or Olympic medalists, who will deliver two sessions, one on talent development and another on skill refinement – how to make a swing change that sticks – with PGA Advanced Professional, Dr. Howie Carson.
David Colclough, PGA Head of Member Education, said: “This year’s line-up brings together some of the members’ favourite speakers, along with some of the people who have been shaping much of the recent analysis of how to get more people playing golf (Syngenta, EGCOA).
“We also welcome new speakers who have made an impact on the PGA’s CPD programme this year, and I’m particularly excited to welcome Prof. Dave Collins, who brings so much knowledge from the world of sport. I really hope PGA Professionals will take advantage of all these great learning opportunities during their visit to The Golf Trade Show.”
