Finca Cortesin in Andalusia is delighted to announce their success at the seventh annual Condé Nast Traveler España (Spain) Awards 2015, where they were named the ‘Best National Resort’ in the country.
Created to acknowledge, reward and celebrate the outstanding dedication and excellence in innovation and service for spas, hotels, resorts and destinations around the globe, the annual Condé Nast Traveler España Awards, are an important recognition of quality, as accredited by luxury consumers and travel professionals alike.
Located in Andalusia, near Sotogrande in the peaceful hills of Casares, the independently owned Finca Cortesin hotel features 67 luxury suites, six four-bedroom villas, luxury spa, three swimming pools, two tennis and two paddle courts, a Beach Club and residential estate. The hotel is designed in the style of a traditional ‘finca’ by renowned architects Roger Torras and Ignacio Sierra, with interiors by Duarte Pinto Coelho, who personally sourced the antiques and period furniture for the public areas. These include antique terracotta floors and wooden doors salvaged from ancient castles, not to mention the hand-painted wall coverings, creating an air of understated refinery.
Finca Cortesin is home to a 2,200sq² Spa, featuring Spain’s only Snow Cabin, as well as a demanding par 72, 18-hole golf course, designed by Cabell B. Robinson, which played host to the Volvo World Match Play Championship for three years. Finca Cortesin’s culinary offerings are another highlight. Signature restaurant Kabuki Raw serves some of the finest Japanese food around, while El Jardin de Lutz is known for spectacular Spanish dishes with a Mediterranean twist.
