The International Golf Course Equipment Managers Association (IGCEMA) has announced that The Toro Company has become the first major partner of the golf industries first Virtual Trade Show (VTS). The Virtual Trade Show is becoming a much anticipated event that is set to take off live on March 18th 2010.

The association’s founder and virtual trade show developer Stephen Tucker stated, “This commitment demonstrates The Toro Company’s leadership and continued support of the IGCEMA and its initiatives. The VTS is going to be an exciting event for the golf industry around the world. We believe that this will give others who, for whatever reason might not be able to attend a physical trade show, the opportunity to learn about what is new in the market and to experience it in a virtual trade show environment.  We are confident that other companies will also recognize this un-met need and participate as well”.

“Investment in education and professional development have always been a top priority at The Toro Company” according to Bob VandenBoom, Toro’s Sr. Marketing Manager for Golf, “while a Virtual Trade Show will not take the place of our involvement at key tradeshows like the Golf Industry Show, it does clearly represent an opportunity for Toro to reach many of our valued customers who cannot attend the show in a very cost effective – and interactive way.  It also provides more global access to exciting new product or service innovations that can save time, money or provide environmental sustainability benefits”

The IGCEMA is the official association for Turf Equipment Managers, Technicians and Mechanics around the world that specialize in turf related equipment. The IGCEMA is dedicated to expanding the education, enhancing the professionalism and improving the image of the Golf Course Equipment Manager and Turf Equipment Technician worldwide.
