In this third release of the key opportunities of the EGCOA’s VISION 2020 project to be explored at the 2014 European Golf Business Conference from the 4-6th November in Barcelona, the focus is on Flexibility.
With loyalty on the decline and the speed of change on the increase, the consumer of 2020 wants to keep their options open. Flexibility is the keyword for many and the number of “strings attached” to any activity should ideally be limited to “none”.
As a result, the willingness to buy memberships is on the decline. The focus is on those activities that are so unique that they add value in many aspects. Gone are the days when a business model could be etched in stone to secure a prosperous long-term future. One size does not fit all however and blindly following the trend of flexibility could put a bomb under the existing business models for golf facilities.
So where are the opportunities for golf & flexibility? How can the golf industry adapt to this trend? Is flexibility the only sustainable model for all? What good examples of flexibility do we currently see in the golf market?
In just over two weeks at the 9th European Golf Business Conference in Barcelona a host of forward thinking owners, CEOs and founders of some of the golf industry’s leading facilities and tech companies will answer these questions.
The line up:
- Tenniel Chu – Vice Chairman, Mission Hills China
- Colin Mayes – CEO, Burhill Golf & Leisure
- Henk Jan de Boer – Managing Director, BurgGolf
- Raghad Mukhaimer – CO- Founder, GolfScape
- Fabio Peral – CEO Golfboo
