Temporary structures specialist, De Boer, returned to the world famous Gleneagles Resort to provide The Tented Village complex and Tweed Club Hospitality Pavilion.
Returning for Ryder Cup duty for the sixth time, De Boer has provided temporary structures for The Ryder Cup Tented Village. Spanning over 11,000 square metres, the company’s Delta structures host a variety of facilities including the Champagne and Seafood Restaurant, The Ryder Cup Striding Man Bar, Public Catering Pavilion, Tay Club Hospitality Pavilion and the Merchandise Pavilion.
Additionally, De Boer has also premiered its state-of-the-art Anova Vista; a highly versatile structure that makes use of innovative curved roof technology and includes a 5m integrated canopy which covers the terrace overlooking the 2nd hole from tee to green. Combining the Anova Vista with a ground floor Premier structure, designed specifically for projects that demand greater spectator capacity, De Boer provided a 3,200 square metre double tier building for the Tweed Club at the second hole.
De Boer has a long-running history of providing temporary structures for golf tournaments including the World Golf Championships, KLM Open, Senior Open Championship and all five of the previous European Ryder Cup events
Edward Kitson, Ryder Cup Match Director, said: “De Boer has a long-standing relationship with both The European Tour and The Ryder Cup, which is supported through the company’s excellent products and services. It was great to see the premier of new innovations like the Anova Vista, which provides an enviable view of the action.”
John A Cochrane, De Boer Sales Director, commented: “Returning to the Ryder Cup for the sixth time is a real honour and exemplifies a relationship we are incredibly proud of. It’s always a special event for De Boer and one that we hope will continue through continued investment in innovative technology and committed staff
