Award-winning DJ Trevor Nelson MBE, renowned broadcaster and pioneer in the UK urban scene for more than two decades, is set to reinvent the golf day with his Trevor Nelson Swing event in aid of Prostate UK at The Shire London on Friday 20th June 2014.

With a nightclub-themed gazebo by the 7th tee, a mobile bar with its own DJ, and sound systems on the patio and practice range pumping tunes out across the golf course, golfers won’t have a problem finding a rhythm.

Whether 120 BPM is a rhythm which translates into sub-par golf remains to be seen, but the trademark Trevor Nelson music vibe will definitely relax those for whom the putts aren’t dropping.

The laid-back event allows jeans to be worn, and Mulligan Balloons are on sale for a £10 charitable donation. Just let your balloon go, and play the shot again …

A hole in one on the 4th wins you a new car, with prizes also for longest drive and nearest the pin, and a Beat The Pro contest on the 7th if golfers donate £10 to Prostate UK.

After the golf, there’s a meal in the clubhouse with soul food and music, and Trevor himself will be giving out the prizes.

“We’re having 2014’s coolest golf day, and we want to raise the maximum amount for Prostate UK” said Nelson.

“All proceeds are going directly to charity, so we really want people to come along to The Shire London, join me in having fun on the golf course, and relax afterwards”.

Teams in the Trevor Nelson Swing cost £399 (individuals £100), with a Gift Pack including the superstar DJ’s latest Sony album The Trevor Nelson Collection 2, plus a golf shirt. To enter contact Ceri Menai-Davies at The Shire London on 020 8441 7649 or email golf@theshirelondon.com
