Blackwell Grange GC, the long established private members club near Darlington, has recently installed Open Solutions software as the heart of its fully integrated club management technology.
Keen to move to a fully integrated system using one membership database following the takeover by Blackwell Grange of a neighbouring golf club, the club’s operational team had been using a rival one-stop-shop system. After problematic performance and support, the club decided to revert to the latest version of Open Solutions integrated with HandicapMaster to handle the club’s:
- four tills, comprising two in the bar, one in the 19th and one in the pro shop
- bar/loyalty card management
- membership and subscriptions administration
- bar stock control
- handicaps and competitions.
This has given Blackwell Grange GC a powerful set of fully integrated management tools, all powered by one membership database. With a total complement of 1,098 members, having the right software tools that are user-friendly, completely reliable and well supported is fundamental to the club’s operational efficiency.
Assistant Secretary Anne McNally is very happy with the move back to Open Solutions, as she says, “Their support is terrific. You’re speaking with a person, not looking at an e-mail. I’m in control using the Open Solutions and Handicap Master software, something I didn’t feel with the other software. It’s all seamlessly integrated and works beautifully.”
