The company was founded by brothers and Army veterans Bev and Billy Dolan on June 13, 1954, in a one-room machine shop in Grovetown, near Augusta in Georgia.

The first E-Z-GO golf cars, dubbed the Model 100, were built using surplus 24-volt electric motors originally intended to power wingflaps on the B-17 Flying Fortress. From those humble beginnings, E-Z-GO has grown into a global leader in the design and manufacture of light-transportation vehicles.

Today, E-Z-GO manufactures more than 50 different vehicle models across the E-Z-GO, Cushman and Bad Boy Buggies brands, for industries and environments ranging from golf courses and resorts, to factories and commercial campuses, to designated paths and off-road trails.

“We are delighted to be celebrating our diamond anniversary this year, which marks six decades of leadership in light transportation and service to the golf industry,” said
E-Z-GO President Kevin Holleran. “Our success would not be possible without the support of our customers in the golf industry, many of whom have been loyal to E-Z-GO throughout its existence.

E-Z-GO and Ransomes Jacobsen are Textron Inc. (NTSE: TXT) companies and more information on the product offering can be found at www.e-z-go.co.uk
