All Square®, the new social network designed exclusively for golfers, has agreed to a strategic partnership with Troon®, the world’s largest golf management company, to help develop its global platform and connect golfers in international markets.
The tech startup, which is announcing the beta launch of its new iPhone app at the PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando, Florida, today (January 22), has also been selected by global professional services firm KPMG to join its K-Start program for new businesses.
The announcement follows All Square’s invitation to showcase its product at Silicon Valley’s ‘Plug and Play Tech Center’ during January, an exclusive business accelerator program that has previously supported and invested in companies such as Google, PayPal and Dropbox.
Troon, which manages more than 200 courses in 27 countries around the world, will work closely with All Square, initially in the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region, promoting the social network to its customers.
Patrick Rahme, Co-Founder and CEO of All Square said, “All Square connects the power of people’s love for golf on one free, accessible and engaging social media platform designed exclusively for golfers.
“All Square is a worldwide platform and Troon is the world’s largest golf management company; and because we are both targeting discerning golfers who appreciate world-class golf courses, there is a natural fit. Troon is focused on delivering memorable experiences at upscale clubs and resorts, while All Square enables golfers to share and compare those experiences with friends globally.”
All Square was founded by Patrick Rahme and business partner Arthur de Rivoire after they met at the HEC University of Lausanne, Switzerland, while studying economics and business administration. Rahme, who also studied at the London School of Economics, and de Rivoire are both elite amateur golfers and regularly represent the national teams of Luxembourg and Switzerland respectively.
All Square was showcased throughout January at the ‘Plug and Play Tech Center’ in Silicon Valley, California, ahead of the iPhone app launch at the PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando. The business accelerator program specializes in growing tech startups and only select international ventures are invited to join.
Global professionals services firm KPMG has also selected All Square to join its K-Start program, which helps entrepreneurs launch new projects in priority sectors, including technologies, media and telecommunications. All Square will benefit from expertise in the fields of finance, tax, project management and IT.
Bruce Glasco, Troon Senior Vice President & Managing Director, International Operations, said, “Troon is committed to creating extraordinary guest and member experiences, underpinned by superior service and the finest amenities. Naturally, we are happy for our customers to share those experiences with their friends and wider social networks, and All Square offers an ideal global platform for this.
“From the outset, we have been impressed with Patrick and Arthur’s professional approach and Troon will be lending its expertise, experience and international reach to help develop All Square into what we hope will become the pre-eminent social network for golfers.”
Golfers using All Square can enter every round and course they’ve played on an interactive global map. More than 20,000 courses are listed on www.allsquaregolf.com with more being added daily.
The new iPhone app, which is free to download from the App Store, allows golfers to connect with friends, post comments and upload course photos and videos to a personal timeline. They can also ask friends to ‘Rate my Swing’ by uploading videos from their phone and receive instant notifications and comments.
The launch of the app will be supported by advertising on Facebook, Twitter and other social media channels.
