GCMS LogoThe recently published Top 100 Courses in Ireland for 2014 included 5 courses at which Golf Course Maintenance Services (GCMS) plays a role in maintaining; Killarney Golf & Fishing Club (2), K Club (2) & Lough Erne. GCMS, which was established in 2009, is headed by Director of Agronomy Gerry Byrne, who has been responsible for course presentation at 11 European Tour Events and the 2006 Ryder Cup matches during his long and distinguished career. More recently he played a critical role as Technical Advisor to the French Golf Federations / Le Golf National’s successful bid for the 2018 Ryder Cup Matches.

The company is continuing to expand with a further 2 golf courses expected to sign contracts with GCMS by year end and the expectation is that the company will have 10 golf courses in the Top 100 in 2015. Opportunities in the UK, Portugal and Spain are also being considered presently as the company looks to export its solutions based approach to course maintenance to other regions in Europe.

Clubs interested in improving maintenance and presentation standards while reducing associated costs should contact the company in complete confidence by emailing Managing Director Ed Pettit at ed.pettit@gcms.ie
